platform / campaigns
Everything belongs to a campaign.
The oldest failure in marketing automation is architectural: emails in one module, flows in another, lists in a third, and the campaign — the thing you actually think in — nowhere at all. veloquent starts from the opposite end.
One tree, not five modules
Batch sends, evergreen journeys, emails, and audiences all live inside a campaign. Campaigns nest under folders. The whole workspace is one tree in the left panel — the mental model operators already have, made literal. If something isn't filed yet, it sits under Uncategorized where you can see the count and sweep it, not lose it.

One campaign: three workflows, each with its audience, email, and delivery in view.

Inherited values carry their source — from FY27, from Demand Gen — and a campaign key overrides them.
Tokens that show their work
Set a token once on a folder — a signature, a legal footer, an event date — and everything underneath inherits it. Override it on one campaign when that campaign is special. The inheritance map shows, for every resolved value, exactly which level it came from. The send-with-last-quarter's-date incident stops being a genre of incident.
Built for scale from day one
The tree opens one level at a time instead of loading your entire workspace up front, so it stays quick whether you have fifty campaigns or five thousand. Dragging a folder updates a single record rather than rewriting everything inside it — which is why a move is instant and can't half-finish and scramble your hierarchy. We've all watched a workspace get slower every year it's used; this is our answer to that.
Questions operators ask
- What is a campaign in veloquent?
- The organizing unit of the whole platform. A campaign holds workflows (batch sends and evergreen journeys), emails, audiences, and tokens. Campaigns nest under folders in a single tree, and every asset in the workspace belongs to one.
- How do cascading tokens work?
- Tokens are set on folders, campaigns, or workflows. A value set high in the tree flows down; the closest level wins when there's an override. veloquent shows an inheritance map so you always know where a resolved value came from.
- Can I organize campaigns into folders like Marketo programs?
- Yes — folders nest, campaigns live inside them, and the tree is the primary navigation. Unlike path-string folder systems, folders are real rows: an empty folder persists, and moving one is a single operation.
